Getting ready for Increased Consumer Control
Going beyond CDC: being ready for the next stages in Aged Care reform

As a consequence of announcements in the 2015 Federal Budget, the forthcoming Aged Care Approvals Round for home care packages will be the last.

The ACAR will be abolished after that with packages to be allocated directly to consumers rather than providers from February 2017, paving the way for a significant shake-up of the home care sector.

This change will give the consumer the right to assign and take away a package from a provider, as they require.
