Challenges and Solutions

The ‘Home Care Today’ project ran from 2013 to June 2017. COTA Australia continues to provide access to Home Care Today resources which were current at June 2017. However they are no longer monitored or updated, and information may not be current.

Wellness and Enablement

The resources on this page will help Home Care Package providers understand and support a wellness and enablement approach in service provision.  An emphasis on active ageing, including wellness and enablement is at the centre of the current Australian Government Aged Care Reforms.

Workforce & Training

In this section you will find links to relevant websites and conferences, information, video resources and CDC training material related to the Workforce.

Governance

Home Care Today has developed the resource Changes to Home Care Packages: Implications for Governance to assist boards of small to medium sized Home Care Package providers to plan for the changes that took place in February 2017.  The aim of the resource is to identify key issues and risks so that boards can take a systematic and strategic approach to future planning. A short Governance Overview video is available to watch on this page, including the full individual interviews with the key stakeholders which contain a richness of information and insights.
