The Royal Commission has identified that in its upcoming hearing to be held in Canberra 9 – 13 December it will investigate the interfaces between the aged care and health care systems. COTA believes improvements to the interface between healthcare and aged care systems are essential.

Submission to the Treasury’s exposure draft on genuine redundancy and early retirement scheme payments

COTA Australia welcomes the Genuine Redundancy and Early Retirement Scheme Payments legislation change, the need for which is obvious and unarguable, and indeed not to make it would be most unfair and inconsistent. The change does not, however, go far enough.
