LGBTI Ageing and Aged Care Strategy 2012-2017

The National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) Ageing and Aged Care Strategy  was released by the Australian Government in December 2012, as part of a wider aged care reform process designed to increase sector accountability and consumer information, choice and control. It was designed to inform the way the Government supports the aged care sector to deliver care that is sensitive to and inclusive of the needs of LGBTI people, their families and carers. The LGBTI Strategy was given a five-year implementation time frame.

The Strategy was reviewed in June 2017 and a copy of this review, along with the original strategy is available below.
