COTA is deeply concerned that the proposed Religious Discrimination Bill 2019 overrides existing Commonwealth and State/Territory anti-discrimination legislation.
The Royal Commission has identified that in its upcoming hearing to be held in Canberra 9 – 13 December it will investigate the interfaces between the aged care and health care systems. COTA believes improvements to the interface between healthcare and aged care systems are essential.
The issues identified in this submission impact many older Australians and the measures outlined here to address these issues have the potential to improve the lives of a large and growing proportion of Australians.
