The Hon. Christopher Pyne has joined COTA Australia as our new independent Chair! Mr Pyne replaces outgoing independent chair, Jane Halton AO PSM. Mr Pyne, a former Federal Minister, including in health and ageing portfolios, has a long history of dedication to public welfare in his political life.

While certain aged-care providers will doubtlessly be found guilty of terrible failures, the system that allowed them to let older Australians die due to neglect of standards must also be addressed. It now needs to radically and fundamentally change.
