Peak older persons advocate, COTA Australia, today welcomed the release today of a new single, strengthened Charter of Rights in aged care that applies across residential and home care and are written in strong, clear and plain English.

COTA Australia, today welcomed the Greens’ statement on aged care released today which calls for a human rights approach to aged care policy and major increases in funding for home care and staffing.

COTA Australia is pleased to see that the Charter has a strong focus on consumers and care recipients within aged care and maintains the existing rights of consumers under the current charters.
